From My Parents’ Kitchen Table to the Number One Selling Agency in West Cumbria

In 2010, with a small desk and a laptop on my parents’ kitchen table in Egremont, I took a leap of faith and decided to start my own estate agency business. At the time, I didn’t have much more than ambition, and a passion for property. Fast forward to today, and I’m proud to say that we are now the number one selling estate agency in West Cumbria. This journey has been one of hard work, growth, and staying true to a simple but powerful idea: to be much more than just another estate agent.

As someone who was born and raised in West Cumbria, I always felt a strong connection to the area. The rich landscapes, the tight-knit communities, and the sense of pride in where we live inspired me to create a business that would serve the people and properties in this remarkable part of the world.

A Vision Born at the Kitchen Table

The decision to start my own estate agency wasn’t made on a whim. After working in the property industry, I recognized there was something missing. Many agencies were focused on simply getting properties sold, but I wanted to create something different. I wanted to offer a service that wasn’t just about completing a transaction — it was about building relationships and truly understanding the needs of both buyers and sellers.

Starting the business from my parents’ kitchen table wasn’t glamorous, but it gave me the space and time to focus on my vision. I wanted to create a company that was rooted in honesty, integrity, and a real understanding of the local community. There was something incredibly special about the idea of helping people find their dream homes in the place I knew and loved — and doing it in a way that felt personal, authentic, and caring.
